WHO IS THIS FOR
This one is for the kids, and scheduled for a school holiday outing. The session is suitable for eight to 12 year olds, and adults/guardians are welcome to stay for the workshop, or drop off.
WHO YOU WORK WITH
Thomas Earl, Owner of Coastal Nectar, will host this hands-on workshop about the World of Bees.
There will also be a Farm My School educator for the first part of the session, and all educators have Working With Children Checks.
WHAT YOU MAY LEARN
Thomas will teach participants about pollination, queen bees, how honey is harvested, why bees are important, what challenges they are facing and why they are important to our environment.
There will also be a honey tasting and crafting a pure beeswax candle to take home.
This workshop will also include a farm tour with a Farm My School educator to learn about regenerative farming, what produce is growing, and create their own seed bomb to plant at home.
WHAT YOU NEED
Bring your drink bottles, snacks and wear comfortable shoes for standing for the duration of the workshop.
WHAT ELSE DO WE DO
We work with organically-grown, seasonal produce from Farm My School, which are available to purchase via our weekly or subscription veggie boxes. YUM!
